Borehamwood

Located 15 miles Northwest of central London, Borehamwood is home to a growing residential population alongside a large office and retail presence. For many years Borehamwood and Elstree was home to a variety of film studios. However, many have been closed with some even being demolished in order to accommodate new retail space.

Located on Shenley Road, which is the main road running through the heart of Borehamwood, is the Borehamwood Retail Park. Within this park, many major retailers are represented including Next, Marks & Spencer, Boots and Argos. It is not only popular amongst local shoppers. People from surrounding towns and villages such as Stanmore, Radlett, Elstree and Arkley come here to do their shopping. The main high street, Shenley Road, also comprises a good mix of independent and national retailers/restaurateurs (including Starbucks, Tesco, Superdrug, Nandos etc) and several large office complexes. There is also a few industrial estates in Borehamwood and so all asset classes are present in the town.

Like many towns in the UK, Borehamwood has suffered since the start of the financial crises and there are many vacant shops which landlords are unable to let.

The A5 and A41 provide excellent travel links with Central London and also Brent Cross shopping centre in Cricklewood.
